This Way to CPA
Learn about public accounting, education and scholarship opportunities, what you need to do to sit for the exam, interview practice tools and more.

Anyone interested in public accounting should check out the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  This 125+ year old group sets ethical standards for CPAs, handles the CPA exam and auditing standards for the profession.  The AICPA provides resources and education to CPAs in government, public accounting and private businesses.

Oregon Society of CPA's
Each state has a society of CPA's that provides education and support to local CPA's.

Oregon State Board of Accountancy
Each state has a board of accountancy that licenses and regulates CPAs.  Their mission is to protect the public by regulating the practice and performance of services provided by CPA's.  These are the people that manage the CPA exam process and licensing.

Take some time to get to know the profession through these resources.

  1. I have never heard of any of these sites before. I've been trying to find new resources to turn to to help me out though. I'm particularly interested in the AICPA website since it provides education to CPAs in the government. I would imagine that means it's a pretty trusted site.

  2. Your post is really very helpful for guiding accounts students. Iwas seeking some information about help with accounting homework and found your post very informative. Your blog post is very interesting and moreover very informative. Keep sharing post like this.
